983 Digital Angioleiomyoma: A Rare Tumour Of the Hand

Abstract Introduction Angioleiomyoma is an unusual, benign tumour originating from the tunica media of blood vessels. They commonly occur in face, neck and lower limb. It rarely found hand not considered differential diagnoses painful subcutaneous tumours. Case Report We present a case 40-year-old man with several month history slow growing lump on his right middle finger. He complained pain difficulty flexing On examination, he had solid normal overlying skin, volar ulnar border phalanx altered sensation positive Tinel’s along digital nerve. Ultrasound MRI reported highly vascular measuring 26x14x22mm giant cell or peripheral nerve tumour. Intra-operatively was continuity artery consistency. Tumour excision microsurgical repair required. Histology confirmed well-defined nodule, composed bundles smooth muscle surrounding ectatic vessels, consistent angioleiomyoma. follow-up patient return full range movement without hypersensitivity evidence recurrence. Conclusions Angioleiomyomas are rare. should be non-specific. Treatment successful biopsy artery. Microvascular instruments available, consented for vein graft.
